Rave association: The fishnet guy, or the kandi hater

So the last rave, made me wonder, what kind of person are you, or better yet the real question is, what kind of person would you rather associate with at a rave?



Fishnet guy: this would be a person who dressed totally bizarre, perhaps he is flailing by himself, having a blast. Now this guy, I’ve seen in fusion, perhaps others seen him too, well he just seemed to wear this fishnet top, and it being all ripped up or shredded. Kinda weird maybe? But you got the general idea about the type of people im talking about i hope



The other option



Kandi Hater: Now this person, looks like an average joe or jane you would find on the street. He/she usually just associates with his/her friends at the party. This type of person dislikes the rave scene items, such a, kandi, soothers, and glowsticks. They make claim these items are lame or embarrassing. Perhaps stating the point that it is time to grow up and drop the kid act.

My reasoning, first of all I’m sorry if I made the explanation kinda biased.

I voted for the fishnet guy. Perhaps things like my avatar would tell you that I do not give a shit what people think of me. I love myself and I love associating with open minded people, who are not afraid to be themselves, who know the meaning of acceptance. Hell yes I saw the fishnet guy and I thought, man this guy is definitely cool, he does not give a crap how others will look at him, he is not afraid, he does not care if he’s judged, whatever. Personally I would not have fun talking to the person who thinks me and my friends are lame because we party with glowsticks, or other ravey accessories.

I am glad that in the rave scene we are able to pin point people who have the same similarities as you would.

You see your typical bitter/jaded junglist, and you see your typical freak in a weird costume. Which one do you approach first?

Not everybody fits in these categories, but they both are at raves.

Except for fishnet guy. I totally believe those people don't exist.

oh yes they do... i saw the kid at fusion too.. black fishnet top, dancin at the front of mainstage next to fanman, seemed very content, talked to him for a bit.. he had a good laugh when my friend snatched and hid fanman's waterbottle from atop his head, n pretended nuttin happened.. fanman quickly caught on though heh, good times

fishnet guy. why care what over people think of you, most likely going to only see them once or forget them later and if it's people that you know then they should understand why you dress the way you did and why you are dancing the way you do. i've only been to about 3 and i really like the open-ness that most people show towards others. it's great:)

Guess I'm a Kandi Hater then. It's not that I think people who dress differently or do their own thing need to grow up or whatever, I just don't like seeing people who are so fucked that they just stand there holding their buddy around the waste and twirling his limp torso in big circles to the music or whatever other weird shit I've seen in the past. If you're still in your right mind and you decide to just go with it and wear fishnet stockings or a big viking hat or whatever, I don't give a fuck. If you get gooned out of your mind on drugs and start acting like a retard, then I'd just as soon not see you at the party. Glowsticks and candy, etc, I could care less about. As long as you aren't waving the glowstick around 2 inches in front of your face in random rhythmless patterns with a big dopey expression on and pie eyes. :D

well can't we sometimes make a well judged decision on someone’s personality, by the way they act or what they wear? If I saw a girl on the street who is a total hippy, reading a book, smoking pot, id have an easier time talking to her than the next girl on the street, dressed in all black, carving the name of the devil on her forearms. Maybe I am wrong since I’m saying, do judge us like a book by it’s cover. But a lot of the times, appearance is a factor of the personality, is it not?

I personally don't go out of my way to talk to people I don't know at parties, that being said if you talk to me I will talk back. But, generally I am a kandi-hater, I am the kind of person who once dressed up as a kandi kid as a joke :)
