for p2p i use ssx (soulseek for osx) http://chris.schleifer.net/ssX ... its mainly for music though. if i want movies i just use torrents

try mlmac for p2p as well, it hooks you up to soulseek, edonkey and a couple other networks
torrents are the way to go though oh yeah, just buy the dvd player, I'm sure the quality will be just fine with the ibook but coming from someone who has a laptop, its just a pain to always have to hook the computer up to the tv. |
