if you want to fly somewhere in the US, do it out of seattle.

if it's out of seattle, that makes it a domestic flight and it's bound to be cheaper than anything you'd find that flies you out of vancouver.

actually if you search expedia.com (or large flight planning websites) on low traffic hours (such as midnight, four am) you will find cheaper deals then offered in high traffic hours. also hunt for layovers or plane transfers because it can lower you flight cost by up to 25%

we swore that after phoenix last year, we would never fly out of seattle again. sure you may save $100, but it is the worst when you just want to be home after a long flight and you have to drive back up 2 hours. plus, almost missing your flight due to seattles horrible rush hour isn't a plus either.

my mom flew from seattle to chicago.

her flight was on friday or saturday at 2 or 3 pm, and we left here around 10/1030

she had lots of time.

my drive home was lonely and sad though.

for a $100 difference i wouldn't make the trip to seattle.

it was worth it for our flights to florida though. we paid just under $600US for our tickets, and flying out of vancouver was going to cost about $650 EACH.. so it was definitely worth it going to seattle.

plus, if you can plan it right, you can rope friends into dropping you off/picking you up so you don't have to drive! hah
