instead of shirts that say stuff like "Blondes do it better", I think it would be really cool if hollister made a t-shirt that said "Nerds do it rarely".

I would totally sport it!

let me explain myself.. so sick of ppl who turn happy shopping convos into "BUT LOOK AT THE SWEATSHOPS" seriously.. so done and over. cheap labor will always exist..to us its cheap labor, but to the workers, they're making money and by working they're able to stay alive and feed themselves. seriously stop raining on our shopping parade.

i'm actually reading a book on sweat shops and it's sad to say that things Like that do happen. However in the end we're all contributing to the sweat shops in one way or another. So that being said I say sport whatever you want to sport. Dont listen to some biased one sided opinion.

truth is that almost everything is somehow linked to cheap labour and the "machine". everything from food to clothing to even electronics (scrap metal collected by the poor and sold to factories)

so unless you're completely free of material goods which are linked to cheap labour and the "machine", you're just being a hypocrite. dont rag on people buying shit from hollister and nike if you're just going to turn around and get a burger at mcdicks.

All it takes is a little googling and u can find products that are sweatshop free. Hollister and Nike are just a couple of the worst. How do you know I eat at McDonalds? Pointless post.

Sadly most of them would be worse off if they didn't have the meager pay they get there. So hey, at least they're employed and not being Child Prostitutes.

There is no reason for meager pay!!!!

"For the full fiscal year, strong shoe sales worldwide boosted Nike Inc. profits to $1.21 billion for a year that began with the Olympic Games and ended with the highest gross margin the company has ever recorded." Taken from http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/b...arns-nike.html

$1.21 billion dollars in profit. That's alot of money if you ask me.Can they pass some that profit over to their poor workers? Couldn't Nike and it's share holders be happy with 500 million in profit and 500 million to it's workers? No they are greedy cunts that continue to take advantage over the poor.

That's the way Capitalism works. They won't change until the countries in question initiate Labour Laws like the rest of the First World. So until the Governments of the Workers' Countries try to help their own Citizens our Corporations won't do anything that will cut into their profits. It's the way things work. Personally I'd be doing what I could to keep my 6 Car Garage House in the British Properties if I had one.

mcdonalds was just an example of something that supports "the machine" that's easily overlooked. can you honestly say that ALL of the products you have support human rights? living life free of "the machine" is just another way of life, like only eating organic foods or vegetarianism, and should not be preached but encouraged.

pointless post? ha
