New Apartment.
So with (alot) of help from my parents I (we) bought an apartment. My dad was looking to invest in something and I really need to get out of my brother's house so after months of waiting we finally got a chance to buy one of the Infiniti units at Central City. Tower one sold out the first day it was up for sale. We were going for Infiniti2 which consists of two towers (theres 5 in all) The first infiniti2 tower sold out saturday. When we arrived on sunday it was like the New York stock exchange. People were literally pointing to apartments on a board and yelling at realestate agents to mark them as sold. Our agent informed us that we proabbly had ten minutes to purchase what we were looking for before it would be marked as sold too. So we caved.....
unit number 2807 in the south tower. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 901 sq ft. The place is full of windows and has a huge balcony. Laminate flooring throughout the entire apartment excluding the bedrooms. The bathrooms have these crazy uber modern sinks that would make even the biggest slob want to wash his hands. Front Load LG washer and dryer. Stainless steel kitchen appliances including a slide in range and over the range microwave. The apartment is 50 steps from king george station and about 1/2 a km to my workplace. It also will have steamrooms, a gym, hot tub area, and a theater for 20 people and some other stuff I can't really think of. The only shitty thing about the whole deal is that the completion date is 2008. Its a long time but it gives me a chance to save money for furniture etc and you better believe im going to have some nice fricken furniture etc!!! Ok im done. www.centralcity2005.com |

You know I don't really mind you asking but I'm kind of hesitant talking about how much it cost on public forum. Is that normal? I have never put this much money into something before and im just going by what my dad would say if he was asked about something like this.

No seriously though, owning your own place is the only way to go, renting is so pointless. I used to pay $445 per month to share a 2 bedroom. Now I'm paying $460 per month to live in a 1 bedroom by myself. The only bitch is that now I don't have anyone to split my bills with. Oh well it's worth it! |

Nice one Matt!
My suggestion is to tell your Dad to be VERY, VERY specific in reading every line as to what is and isn't included with his pre-contruction price. Tell him to examine every option for everything as to what he does and doesn't want in the place as in the end, it will make a difference when you actually move in. -- PS: and of course, make sure all of those options/add-on's are noted in writing and signed off on. |

Yeah dude... 2008 is a long ways away, but nothing sucks more than moving into the new place and then realizing it's missing some essential things because you never asked for them in the first place or did ask for them, and never got it signed off on.
