what do you mean I looked up spatula to try and define "b"... never did I do such a thing. I simply looked up the definition of "spatula" and fit it to the right picture - which is "a". I have no idea where you get the above logic from.

the design of "b" is for flipping, especially eggs.. don't bother trying to fight it cuz you know it's true. Sure you can use it for other none flip oriented tasks if you want (as well you could use any tool for any task it's not suited for if you really want), but if you asked the flippatula what it likes doing best.. it'll tell you: "flipping eggs my brotha, that is what I'm made to do".

by the way, i think i already agreed as well that both implements are indeed referred to as spatulas in everyday language.
