Alex getting a phone??? I think this leaves Kelly as the last one I know with out one :p
Talk to Myra about signing up with Bell ;) Personaly im with Rogers and I guess its fair... cant really complian if you dont mind signing years of contracts to save $$$ :/ As for my plan, I did some resurch looking for a good deal. Luckly I ran into mothers day promotional deal that offered weekends/evngings free with 350 min instead of 200 min for $45 a month + fee + call display + voicemail... Ive come close, but never gone over my min especialy since I work during the day when its not needed. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Jul 13, 05 at 01:24 AM. |

unlimited calls... whenever/whatever
unlimited text voice call forward/conference bla bla 60/month. CITY fido. oh oh and i found something new. Since i bought my cellphone from another country and since it is not REGISTERED under Fido, I found out something really cool. I was fucking around with it, and i did a "search for GSM Networks" and it gave me an option for : Rogers Fido So now i'm paying Fido to get perfect Rogers reception. |

i had telus for 3 years and then switched over to rogers. because...
they have hotter phones- like the motorolla razr v3, which i have all my telus phones broke! (one of them was actually my fault cause i ran over it..but still!)and rogers has better range, and you can use it internationally (unlike telus). |

First off it depends where you live or are often. Telus by far has the best coverage and reception. Its no secret and everyone knows that. If your in the boonies often or live there then this would be the best choice. Do they have the best plans and phones? IMO definately not but for some its not an option. Fido has some decent plans but their service is shit period. Rogers is avg with some decent plans. If you live in the city and stuff then reception isnt a problem. also if you a cell phone fanatic then fido and rogers should be your only choice since its GSM. Bell I dont know shiet about nor can i give an opinion on it so i wont be making any assumptions.
Bottom line think about where you live, what plan is rite for you. Some plans that are like $45/month are are really killer but if the $25 plan is alreayd enough minutes for you why would you pay more just because the plan is that good? Just make the rite choice |

That's the Fido plan I have too, I think it's only 100 anytime minutes though. Works great for me, most of my long calls are people calling me so I don't need to worry about the time. I was able to cancel both my Telus cellphone and landline so in total I save about $30 a month.
Another plus is long distance is 10 cents a minute anytime, a reasonable price. I'm not paying extra for Rogers coverage but they seem to have given it to me so I get good coverage in places like Agassiz, Harrison, and Hope where Fido didn't work before. I'm getting internet access removed though cuz my phone likes to try to connect to net when I stick it in the case and forget to key-lock. I had the Sony T610 first but it locked up requiring battery removal to restart, that's no good and lots of them do that, so I got a Nokia 3100 which is reliable and has speakerphone. Quote:

I work for a cell phone company, called Cityfone.
We're a re-seller of Fido and Rogers, but we have our own call centre/plans. We just got a whole bunch of new promos. Our newest phone is the Motorola V551 (camera/video/bluetooth) it's fuckin sweet, it's got the best quality screen/camera I've seen so far. ($99 on 3yr contract) Call 1-888-322-2160 for more info. I used to work in the call centre (now I'm behind the scenes) Our reps are super honest, they will tell you about every hidden cost, etc. Just so you all know as of March 1, new subscribers cannot sign up on the unlimited Cityfido package. And if you had that plan you had to sign a contract to keep it. The Rogers/Fido intergration is supposed to be finished by September 2005, until then if you are a Fido customer and don't pay extra for the Rogers coverage there is going to be service interruptions. (calls cutting out etc) But once they finish it will be better than before. From Fido's website: Will all Fido customers have access to the new combined national coverage? Fido customers will continue to enjoy the same coverage areas they originally subscribed to, however, within the established Fido network footprint, the quality of the network will be enhanced as a result of this integration. Fido customers with regular monthly airtime packages may also choose to take advantage of the expanded coverage—meaning the network outside of the original Fido footprint—by subscribing to the $5 Expanded Network option. This option is not available to City Fido and $70 monthly package subscribers or to Fido Prepaid Service customers. |
