Gretzky the Coach? What you think

Most likely Wayne *The Great One* Gretzky is gonna be named Head Coach of the Phoenix Coyotes.

Now we all know of his illustrious career as a player, executive, and i guess a little bit of general manager too, but do you think it will carry over for his as a coach.

Learning a style of play and having natural talent and being able to bring together a team of totally different players and talent levels are too completely different things.

I think he could be a good coach. He did have amazing talent at reading the play and knowing how the game worked when he was playing.

The man is talented. He knows hockey like it aint no shit. I would have to think becoming a coach of the sport he knows so well would be natural . He'll probably do a great job

Its not about him necessarily as a coach but the team around him. Other than brett hull who is on the coyotes thats decent and don't say shane doan cause i hate the guy and didn't think he deserved to be on team canada's roster at all.

Yes he was amazing at reading the play, but thats as a player. When he was on the ice fantastic he could read the play's miles ahead of everyone but this is different.

He is only gonna be able to try and help the players choose their decisions its not really him out there controlling the play
