'88 Supra. I like those... the Celicas don't look sick until the late 90's in my opinion.

Celica hands down. the Fiero i'd never get cause they're crap in my opinion. Supra's are nice but not as nice asthe Celica. make sure it's a stick shift! also the Celica depending on if it is a 4 banger, gets great gas mileage even with the gas prices this high.

Consumer Reports says Toyota, Honda are the most reliable used cars for at least 10 years, while most GM are average or worse than average. Mazda and Nissan OK too.

CR has a magazine/book that rates used cars, probably on the store racks.

Id personally get the '88 supra.
I agree the Celica's tend to look better in the late 90s.
Stay away from the Fiero, my buddy had one and it was nothing but trouble for him.

i think i'd be looking for something else.
if these are your only options stay away from the fiero, if the supra has a turbo take that, otherwise take the celica.
price is a big factor though

i would say the celica... altho the supra is a nice car and all it wastes a hell of a lot of gas, and the turboes are a bitch to fix

I've been checking the car lots and there's deals on a few. Surprised how cheap some of the beemers are. Like this BMW 740i 1997 for $16,000 - I guess people are afraid of the gas price and potential repair bills.

(It's a beauty, ultra shiny white paint, leather interior, upgraded low-profile tires/wheels, mmmm me and a friend would look good in dis ride, it don't need no pimpin).

the 90 celica was the first year of curved body design.

I used to drive one every summer, they're a great little car, and I mean little.

I'm just shy of 5'10" and I felt really snug in it, and forget about the back seat with the big hump in between the two seats.

But at anyrate it's a great little car.

^^Despite the repair bill that's a fucking nice car.

And on the subject at hand I'll agree with most of the people in this thread and say stay away from the Fiero. Can't go wrong with Toyota though.

well said. these cars were only made for 4 years because they had serious problems that were re-accuring such as fires and bad wiring. GM dropped the car cuz it came out with a bad name and couldn't lose it.

mind you a fiero GT in excellent condition doesn't look that bad, but no.
