driving around some logging/service roads in squamish looking for a good spot to camp out and get hammered, drive up to this spot and BAM theres a rave set up! it was a bunch of older people listening to house music, tents all over the place. looked like a good time but we decided that house music all night wouldnt work. its funny finding an unexpected rave in the middle of nowhere

There were two other parties out in Squamish besides Go Fuck Yourself. It was a rather packed weekend there.

When I went to Trancemission 8 there was a Burning Man party happening just upstream... This is kinda how raves happen out there...

I'm curious to see the reactions to any locals who stumble into 'Renegade'.

Imagine you're a squamish redneck out to camp for the weekend and you encounter a party where if you run away from the stage that's playing psy-trance and slayer, you come across the Altar of Darkness second stage where there's candles flickering around a pile of crystals, a goat skull, and some Dungeons and Dragons books, with ragga jungle as a sound track.

I'm still waiting on confirmation on the people who may be doing 'suspensions', that would really fuck someone up. Someone hanging by their piercings in the forest by torch light....

Bring on the locals!!!

At Trancemission there was a bunch of people just camping out by Mile 36 who didn't know there were parties happening... they happened to just be camping right between the two parties.

From what I understand they had a really good time. Last time I saw them was while I was playing The Faint at about 8 o'clock in the morning at the renegade stage we brought up there... they looked decently ripped and danced their asses off.

Yeah, I ran into a redneck in denim coveralls that morning who'd never been to an electronic dance event before. He'd had a rockin' time, his only thing was that he said that "next time I'll drink less before I try an E, maybe just a case or two".

none of the above. if i hear the name again i'll know it, its on the tip of my tongue. it was off the stawamus service road on a power house access road. 6 or 7 miles up the road i think
