New NHL Rules demos from EA

okay they make the game sound so much sweeter.

the shootout kind of bugs me.
why should there have to be a winner in each game?
its going to make it impossible for the teams with less skill/luck to keep up a point standing with those of a higher caliber.

It'll make the teams with less skill work harder and become a team of a higher caliber.
you have to win in regular time or else you will be chancing losing it all. Teams won't be able to just "give up" because they only need 1 point to move up...blah blah.

I really don't like the goalie restriction on playing the puck. Thats always been one of my favorite parts to watching a goalie.

Shootouts are gonna be up and down. Imagine a game like colorado and vancouver 5 good skaters on each team but it will be up and down

In general I'm excited for the new rules. They are all meant to favour skilled teams and offence, so that's good.

Don't need to watch a video about tag up offsides, thank you. Hockey fan since I was 2 years old, I am familiar.

Love the loss of 2 line passes. Can't wait to see more breakaways this year!

I love the fact that off sides are tagged up, that's been pissing me off for years. 2 line pass is allowed, finally! And if only we still had the Bure from the Stanley cup Final in '93-'94...damn, we would have had way more many breakaways! (jk) We don't need him... Now, Oct. 5.05 let the GAMES BEGIN!!! :sixpak:
