Finally Becoming a Key holder at my Job

i know this may not seem like much to some of you..
but for me its something i have wanted for a while now..

I'v been working at the lougheed Off the Wall for 3 years now...
and have wanted a Key holder position for the last year now.. but never was sure if i could get it or not..
the stores around me..guilford,lougheed,coquitlam centre..never really needed a key holder position, too be taken over..
so i never had a chance to move up with the company..it seems lame yes.. but everyone that works for the company has been with the company for at least 3-5 years..unless they are new, so everyone pretty much stays where they are.

About 3 days ago i found out the manager at Guilford wanted to higher me as a key holder there.. but i was hesitant about the commute ... today i find out that Coquitlam centre, needed a 3rd key holder.. after an hour of agreement.. i was highered for the position today!!

Right now im pretty pumped to relocate and start a new position! Hopefully things work out :)

you worked in the lougheed mall one..... I've never once seen you in there.
and thats the only off the wall I ever step foot into.. becasue I use to live around there.. for 2 years.... I <3 the bay there.

^ oh really i work there full time but crappy shifts ...
yeah retails not really a fun thing to get into..i think what kept me there was the ppl..

^ yeah.. but i guess its like my comfort zone.. 3 years at a job...its hard to get out.. i tried before ..trying other things..but i would always bunk out of them...i guess thats not a good thing..

It was my baby =( our AE jean walls are a fucking disgrace.

Just be careful you don't end up doing more work than your store manager (like I did).

PS - Other stores pay their keys waaaaay more. Once you learn the management ropes, start looking around. Retail can pay REALLY well if you're not working at OTW :P

i remeber the jean wall i use to work at the same store but way back in 2000 and 2001 when sandy was manager at that store, now she is at coq...when i was working manager at the garage i use to come see her often..hehe she rocks!!!!

well we can for a little while!
Im kinda freaked out to start work...but I love shoes so in the end it'll all be worth it!
YeY we both got what we wanted in like the same week dude...I got a job you got a key. haha awesome!
