would you come to Seattle to support Van DJ's?
Just curious...
Down here in Seattle we go up to BC all the time to catch some of our favorite Seattle locals rockin' it internationally ;) Just wondering what locals from BC you'd drive down to Seattle to support? Steve Last edited by Euro; Sep 05, 05 at 03:49 AM. |

Sorry, Steve.
I don't cross your border. Haven't for about 13 years. If it's a local dj you're talkin' about, then, I'll go check the gig, locally. Here, in Van. BC. Canada. Best of luck on drawing the numbers down there! Frosty (Will there be helicopters?) |

did you see him play at a place called fever about 2 years ago... i think vinylgroover played there and irish pete.... then cinto played breaks on the main stage at the end of the night... the whole place went apeshit when he played that nirvana track.. it was crazy as for going to seattle... i would only go to see a dj that i never get to see... i can see the locals up here all the time.. and unfortunately its almost a 3 hour drive to seattle, which is the biggest obstacle |

Ive gone down to seattle before to suport Canadian promoters :D
However thats a pretty common sence idea... why go all the way down there to see dj's we can see up here? Although if some of my good buddies were going down to play id deffinently want to join in on the convoy and support. Also having a Canadian dj play down there, you know there going to bring their frineds along too... who might bring more of their friends... and then everyone going down south just becuase ppl wont go unless others are going. The idea of having ppl from Canada going down soly to suport their local dj's isnt too hot. Although were more then happy to see them and suport them... you might want to try some more creative marketign ideas such as creating a us vs. canada dj theme or somthign else that we done see up here as much. Also compare the canadian/us laws. Well be down there in a second if theres somthing we can do down there and not here... why so many 19-20 year old americans come up here to drink :D Otherwise I think one of the biggest motives for us is just a reason to get away. Although we like to see somthing diffrent... its kinda nice to see a few local dj's you know oppose to dj's youve never seen. |

Yeh i've checked out a lot of seattle shows with DNB. Great turn out all the time.
I would come support a show with our DNB locals supporting some headliners you bring in. I'd even drive them hah. I'm always down for supporting DNB in the NorthWest. Last edited by decypher; Sep 05, 05 at 09:01 PM. |

Hmm, like Rhia said, i think it would really depend on how you'd market it. Like, getting a local Vancouver DJ to open for a reknown international headliner may lure in party goers.
I'd like to see partiers from other cities go nuts to the music that our dj's know we love best. I think for it to work, you'd need to cut advertising specifically for Canada... like 2,500 to 5,000 flyers made for Vancouver that build up the headliner, AND the fact that a killer reknown vancouver dj will be opening for him. That'd be cool. something like Tazix opening for Tiesto? I'd support him 100%. Hirshee opening for ___ (insert house dj here) __ i'd go to support. Stuff like that i'd go for. but that's just me. Otherwise, you'd have to give all the people who cross the board like.. free booze and a discount on a seattle hotel. |

I like my Car in one piece.
Sorry no way.
There is just no way I'm going to set myself up to be grilled at the border by "Captain Freedom" and his merry patriots. Too many Yanks seem to feel that, short of Rambo, they're America's last line of defence. |
