I heard hot yoga is super fun. Try Bikrams. I think they let you try your first class free. I'm pretty sure they have a website with info.
I'd imagine most gyms offer yoga classes these days. I prefer pilates though which I do at home with dvd's. :-) |

i appreciate the atmosphere of the class to... the ambient music... and when you have a class of 10 peeps that all know what to do ,, well it is very relaxing.. at the end of the class.. you lie on your backon your mat. and breath .. i fell asleep 3 times.. i woke up everyone was looking .. iwas like "ahh shit"

Definitely not doing bikram's on cambie @ 12th because they have carpeted floors and that is just GROSS. They have another one on alberni downtown and few of my bro's friends work there, just don't know if i am ready to commit to that much hot yoga.

I went to YogaPod in North Van (close to Sea Bus) and it's a pretty cool place. I liked the hot yoga classes a lot - they are intense, but you feel amaaazing after! Here is some info: http://www.yogapod.com/

weird, myra, i was just cruisin' by this forum to post on how amazing and blissful i feel because of my recent yoga addiction and how great my studio is.
i know it's not downtown.. but my studio on the drive is most excellent.. great rates.. amazing teachers etc... the first class is free, so you should come try one out with me sometime! it's not "hot yoga".. but they offer a lot of vigorous power-style yoga.. ashtanga and vinyasa get you pretty darn hot and sweaty just from the exertion.. the hatha stuff is awesome. i am going every day for the next four days so just let me know if you want to try it.
