Ew. This isn't the first time i've heard a guy raving about this idea before, and I can't understand why either. Isn't that BAD for you? Why do you think pushing your body so physically hard that it gets angry with you and makes you sick is a good thing?
Listening to your body, not butchering it, is what keeps you healthy. |

Lactic Acid.
It's good for you.
If it ain't hurtin' it ain't workin'. But seriously Lactic Acid will make you puke if you go too hard. But the more you work out the more you'll learn to control it. My gf's a personal trainer that's why I know. Plus I work out. But not since i got sick n' lost 20lbs, now I'm on MAMMOTH 2500 !!!!!!!!!!!! |

I try to make sure I accomplish this with any physical activity. Whether I'm enjoying a game of road hockey, pushing my limits at work by lifting heavy shit (but making sure not to pull something) or like you said by working out.
Just feels so good to feel your heart pumping hard and your lungs going at full speed. I notice that I become more mentally aware and posses clearer thinking when I exert myself. |

Runners get whats known as "runners high". Thats why Arnold is all like "I go to the gym and I feel so good it's like I'm cumming !" |

I don't consider avatars as representations of one's self, however. Is that wrong? I'm 47 days completely clean, so I was just disappointed that that "reputation" still hangs around. I'm wrong if I think it will go away anytime soon. |

Hmmm...If you do that all the time then yes, it is totally bad for you...However, once in awhile you should really push your limits so that you can expand them or see if you've improved. Yesterday I tried to do a workout that I used to do when I was in peak condition. I did it, but it hurt. (At least when I hit the wall I got my running high soon after) Serves me right for letting it slip a little...oh well, give me another month and a half and I'll be back to where I wanna be.
PS: When I used to coach, and when I used to run competition myself, it was the kids that pushed themselves that won the races, not the ones that only went until they were tired... Quote:
