Has anyone done University Transfer Programs from a local college?
I've been considering going back to school ever since I left UBC 2 years ago. Just curious if anyone here has experience with transfer programs from VCC or Langara.
Personally I wish I just deferred my UBC acceptance until I was ready... because I've taken courses at Langara and really dislike it there. If anyone has alternate ideas I'd like to hear those as well. Thanks. |

i was in the transfer program at capilano..i loved it there..there isn't a set schedule..just a buncha courses u get to select and depending on how early ur registration date is..that will be how good ur schedule is...
two of my friends did the transfer programs, one's at sfu and other is at ubc. they both did the two year thing and got their associate's degree which i think the universities like to see..i know sfu loves the associates degree and if u have it..u can get in pretty easy..i'm not sure if it has the same affect on ubc though.. |

i also went to crap college for 2 years and transfered to UBC this fall
i was short like 6 credits for my associates but i applied to sfu and ubc anyways...i didn't want to wait a whole year to apply to UBC again (as they only accept applications for students in the fall) anyways, cap is an awesome school...great teachers, smaller classes and very personalized. you can pretty much adjust your schedule how you want. there is usually a few sections offered at different times so you shouldn't have a problem. what kind of classes do you want to take?? i know some good profs! |

yeah when you're in university transfer at cap there's no set schedule for you, you take exactly what you want to take in order to do your transfer.
cap's a great school too like aki said, but its also the most expensive college in bc so keep that in mind |

It would take me about an hour to get to capilano though... I would be taking Sciences and Math courses. |
