Fastest Internet Connection I Can Find
I was wondering what would be the fastest/most performant internet connection I could find in British Colombia?
I've heard of www.shaw.ca .. is that any good? Under 40$/mth is all I wanna spend...The cheaper the better and with LAN of course (if you know any better please care to let me know) Any one has any tips..? Can't work without a fast internet connection at home.. peace |

There's a new service provider in town that are knocking shaw out of the water in terms of pricing and speed.
http://www.3web.com You can get a 7.0MBit line for $34.95/mo I'm going to be switching soon. |

It's the same as shaw. And for an FYI, I downloaded 103GB last month. And I havent had a written or verbal warning regarding it. |

I use Shaw Xtreme and it's pretty quick. With Shaw it also depends who else is on "your" pipe that depends how much bandwidth you get as it is communal.
If you want real fast speeds find an office in Harbour Center and tap into the OC3 backbone that is there. It's retarded fast. |

You go over your bandwidth and it's mostly uploading and they'll shut you down and question you like they did me. Why? They want to upsell you to more pricey server packages instead. |

I disagree Winston.
I used to download like a motherfucker when I lived in port moody, and id go over their limits on a regular basis and I used to get a phone call EVERY month and I did like NO uploading whatsoever, maybe 500mb-1gb? Downloading, i was pushing like 30-50gb a month trying to stay under my limits when I first started, then i started going nuts averaging like 70-100gb a month, still with NO uploading, and then thats when the complaints started coming in. In their privacy policy it says im given a 50gb per month (uploading and downloading). |

Hrmmmm. I know they dont like uploading, but did you still stay under your 50gb downloading limit?
I guess I shall find out soon, my billing cycle is up. I know ive downloaded well over 150gb this month. Just moved into my new place, and had to go nuts. |
