the met
so i expirenced the worst thing ive ever seein in my life tonight and i wish i had never seen it.
as im standing outside the met tonight i saw someone not once but, three times get mased in the face. now i know shit happens and i know people are pussies but no one i repeat NO ONE deserves the treatment i saw tonight...this guy took it in the face and as he was blinded was turned away by the bouncers from entering the bar to flush his face.... i have never in my life seen any treated so badly...i dont care who you are or what youve done you dont deserve the treatment i saw this guy have. i would rather be beaten to submission then be mased in the face. i will neve and i mean NEVER step foot in the met again. *vent over* |

Was the person in question maced by police officers? Or was he maced by another patron? Did anyone offer him a bottle water? What was the background? Sounds harsh, random acts of violence in the course of enjoying a evening is pretty savage, whether its getting stabbed, shot, pimpslapped, whatever- im sorry you had to go through that.
Realistically, try not to let it be a statement about the met+fixed fridays, rather just realize, it was either a random act of violence, or something representative of the area, which happens to get worse and worse by the day due to a massive mishandling of the REAL problems in that area. Perhaps a large piping hot green/mandarin tea and a few hugs from loved ones might ease the stain of gross violence. -keep yo head up action+mobilization fable |

but in my mind the fact that i saw the bouncers use pysical force on someone to push a blinded guy away from the door and deny him help was crazy. they did however offer help after that which was nice to see. this is just one more thing piled on top of the already astounding things that have gone on at the met the the past few months that lead me to believe that its not a cool place to hang out and not somewhere i want to get "caught" in the middle of the wrong fight. i know other bars have started checking people before the enter the bar and i feel bad...its a sorry day that the world is coming to this. im not a big person and i cant hold my own..i would never want to fight i just think it would suck if someone i knew, loved, was enemies with for that matter was shot beaten mased hit over the face with a beer bottle cause they were in the wrong place at the worng time...for being at a bar and trying to have a good time with people....this is my worry...im not shocked that it happened. |
