iraq votes yes-

the symbolism and perceived benefits of the YES vote to the constituion is as empty and meaningless as US+UK occupation under the pretense of foreign aid, and democracy building, and as empty and meaningless under the context of enabling an environment for peace making, as the UN.

the nightmare that is Iraq under occupation continues

Look at the Yes/No statistics on that page...

Some places were as much as 98% yes, and others were as much as 97% no.

That right there says to me that there needs to be a splitup of the country.

perhaps, but as resultant of US occupation or inherant needs of the nation? I choose the former.

The US would be unable to funnel profits through state owned companies for a prolonged period of time, with Iraq as one larger nation, considering the ever growing strength of the insurgency. But as a number of seperate smaller nations, the US could target specific areas where supporters of theiir "cause" can create longstanding relationships.

As a group of fragmented smaller nations what was formerly Iraq less of a threat in the future to US manipulations of resources.

Really none of this matters, what really matter is that many years ago the US government fed the entire world the plan for Iraqi occupation and its goals, to date not a single endevour has succeeded under what was told to the rest of the world, thus destroying all legitmacy of the occuaption, its efforts and the US government itself.

The only feasible way to solve this current state of affairs is to bring down the US government, alongside our own Canadian government. And what are the chances of this?

the constitution was a sham, the vote was a sham, the results mean nothing. Prior to the "results" the feeling across the nation was reportedlly said to have been one of which by large rejected the constituition(~68%)

if a country can invade another without being accountable to anyother nation of even the UN for that matter, as well as lie to an entire US population, and then attempt to convince the world that they were out for the best interests of Iraq while "advising" throughout the drafting process, they should sure as hell be able to effect the results of a vote.
