Yeah you have a point.. but the other point is that the DJ gets a cut of profits. I mean hell the promoters are shacking them up nice hotels, paying for all their expenses, really what else to they want. They're geting paid to promote their own music.

See, I fucking hate this about drum n bass, and anyone on here knows I'm the hugest drum n bass fan. I mean fuck you might as well have DJ clue up on stage yelling "DJ CLUE, BRAND NEW SHIT!" With that horrible echo... Fuck what happened to actually digging through crates to find dope tracks, rather than playing what's ever new, even if it's complete shit. I don't care if it's new, I don't care if it's on plate, or it's a world exclusive, if it sucks here, it's gonna suck everywhere else.
There was a big post on nwdnb.bc.ca about d&b becoming too mainstream, and I personally think the above will completly saturate and kill drum n bass one day.
Anyways, back to the topic.. I don't understand how this isn't done at smaller shows, even with local DJs!!
