Questionnaire Outline:

What is the life style you look for from an exercise gym?
most big gyms i feel are directed towards those who are already in shape and are looking to improve. none i have seen have really felt like those who are not in the best of chape would really fit in - curves is different they seem to gear their advertising moreso towards feeling better rather then looking better. so really i look for a gym that is geared towards the patrons feeling better rather then looking better - that should merely be the icing on the cake.

What do you want from an exercise gym?
to feel better.

What are your needs from an exercise gym?
encouragment, a team atmosphere but also having some one on one moments with a trainer, nutrition information.

How do you pick the exercise gym you go too?
i dont. i do a cardiocore bootcamp. has everything i look for - one on one aspects - the trainers know each person individually but also provide a team spirit kind of thing. its geared towards feeling better and the reward of feeling better is looking better. its inviting, friends are made, and everyone is able to work at their own pace. both instructors are highly informed on nutrition, diets can be provided but healthy eating is encouraged over dieting. its different everyday and its outdoors - alot better then being inside a stuffy sweaty environment. and many different exercise aspects are involved - free weights to yoga to spinning. i thoroughly enjoy it - its completely rewarding.

1. do it for yourself, not to impress.
2. free personal training, the ability to play my own tunes, multiples of the popular equipment, no tough guy attitudes, attractive ladies to smile at
3. big area, AC, recently new/well maintained equipment,
4. is it free?(i work out for free at my work in Van), location, price, friendly, helpful peeps.

Questionnaire Outline:

What is the life style you look for from an exercise gym?
i want the gym to be somewhere that is fully integrated in my life. somewhere where im motivated to go on a weekly basis without thinking it's a chore. for me, a gym is a place where i go to refresh myself, strip stress away and STAY healthy.

What do you want from an exercise gym?
i want a development program, where i go for a reason and see myself improving in health. at least some kind of person telling me im doing the right thing, working the right muscles and on track. i think its more a voice telling me im not wasting my time there. an all ladies facility would be good as well, because i do get intimidated if its all guys around and just a handful of girls.

What are your needs from an exercise gym?
personal trainer (the voice), flexible hours, close to home, and a welcoming environment.

How do you pick the exercise gym you go too?
flexible hours, close to home, if there is a ladies facilty option, and if there is other bonus in the membership (if they offer dance classes etc), reasonable membership..even if they allow drop in prices instead of signing up for a whole year. friendliness of workers (first impression).

they operate mainly out of maple ridge but offer classes in coquitlam (which is where i go.) its pretty pricey to begin with, but each month you get a deduction. they offer both morning and night classes. they're doing a mini christmas camp and then are shuttin down till january.
i don't want to quote prices as really i dont remember what the initail pirce was. you also need to pick up some free weights (5 pounds) and a yoga matt and an exercise ball. due to illness i've been out for the past month but have been abnle to keep up what i can with the skills they gave me and the materials i have.
best investment in myself i have ever made.
www.corebootcamp.com is the website.
