Bush administration's 35-page outline: "National Strategy for Victory in Iraq"
The administration's cliche platform once again fails to bring a viable short and long-term solution to the Iraq quagmire.

Bush should be focusing on the needs of the American people, such as education and healthcare, rather then focusing on a "war on terror" that cannot be won against those so set in their ways...it is difficult to reason with a person who is ready to die for their cause...that's just a way of life there.

Well it's a little late for what he 'should' have done lol. Can't pull the arrow out once it's been stuck in.
Maybe they should take into account the broader social problems that have been exposed with the war. Taking a majority sunni rule and making them the minority rule. The fact that the adminstrations vision of a secular society is "one of the greatest ironies of the U.S. intervention, Iraqis instead went to the polls and elected a government with a strong religious base -- and very close ties to the Islamic republic,[Iran], next door." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2005Feb13.html Last edited by decypher; Dec 04, 05 at 04:05 AM. |

"Maybe they should take into account the broader social problems that have been exposed with the war. "
Heh, why would they do that? Theyre going through the motions, there being the critical voice of reason and opposition, but realistically they are completely in support of current policy, theyre on the payroll, there temaplayers bla bla you get the drift. Also i wanted to point out that that reality would sound more akin to "....broader social problems that been exposed AS A RESULT OF the war...." |
