Please help election equality!
So, in case you didn't know, the Green Party leader is being excluded from the nationally televised debate AGAIN this election, even though they received nearly 5% of the vote last time.
Whether you will vote for, or even believe in the Green Party at all, this is a matter of fairness and each party being able to have their say so that voters can make an informed decision. We all know that the other major parties are behind this, so please help by signing a petition that can be found at the following link: http://www.petition.greenparty.ca/en/ |

She can speak for herself there champ. Anyways No one votes green. Why try and help the green party ? They would just turn into the Liberals if they got any power. Voting is like pissing into the wind. |

this thread never had anything to do with whether or not people should vote.. and it is really only directed towards people that will vote - so, nobody has disagreed with you, we just think you are idiot because you feel the need to constantly tell people why not to vote, even when that isn't even the topic - and even when they will clearly never agree with you...
You don't want to vote.. fine, but stay the fuck out of this thread because it's not for you anyway. |

I was under the impression you wanted everyone to petition for the Green Partys acceptance so as to be able to vote for them. My bad. |

^ Pretty much, yeah.
You're an idiot because NOT VOTING does soooooo much good. You're idealistic, grab a clue - the only way to make a change is to do it yourself. So until I see you running for office you can put up and shut up. |

You think choosing which fuckface scumbag takes your money and lies to your face makes a difference ? Yeah. |

Same shit, different pile of lies. Maybe if you knew who runs the show from the top down you would see through the bullshit. Same people, same blood, same story, for centuries. Do you know who runs Canada ? Not any political party. A few families. But hey what do I know right, I don't vote. LMFAO. Fuckin puppets. |

Do you suppose things could possibly be just slightly more complicated than having a couple of shadowy figures controlling us all? Probably not so definitely don't include anything else in your paper ok? You know, I think the real difference between you and I isn't that we would both prefer things to be run properly by a group of people that are actually interested in sustaining life on this planet instead of their own personal wacked out agenda... it's that I give a shit enough to try and change things for the better whether it's possible or not and I find it really sad that you don't honestly believe there might actually be a couple other people (even in the political ring) that actually might give a rats ass about where our country and our species is heading. |

They will never get any power for that reason. Canadian politics is run by people like Chretien. He took our money and bought hisself a golf course in Florida. I am waaaay past the point of thinking a vote will do fuck all. I am at the point where only the total reform of this system will work. No vote matters, they tell you who wins. You think anyone voted Bush in ? It's a corrupt bullshit system that doesn't work. Voting is only participating in the corruption and saying it's ok. If no one votes what happens ? What then ? |

Since you brought it up, mind sharing with me what the integral differences of views on current policy are between the three top parties? Lets just focus on National Defence, Imigration and Refugee rights, Foreign Policy - including international aid, foreign business and current CIDA initiatives. Then explain to me the core differences in Indegenous affiars, the theoretical differences in each parties action plan over the next term for the ministry of environment, and fisheries. Finish it off with law enforcement policy, and health care. Thanks in advance for your clarification. |

I hope this petition sees some light of day. I think the intentions of people involved in this petition are good, but somewhat reactionary, and i fear it may prove a diversion to the core realities of the next federal election. Quote:
The primary and most direct means of evoking a directive for change, that has the least inherant possibilty of being corrupt and therefore rendered irrelevant, by business and current governmental structure, is a unified revolutionary movement. And historically any revolution that has a shred of positive impact has depended on the combined support of the many. The "many" MUST include representation by all walks of life including the most oppressed of communities, and the many must set aside the most peripheral of self interest for the common good of the movement. Such a revolutionary movement, cannot afford to barter and consolidate the groups mandate with that of current government in the interest of finding a happy "medium" either, but rather can and will only except the complete disolvement of corrupt policy. In case this makes no sence to you, then i suggest trying out some research on such relolutionary movements as those of venezuela and cuba. Its very interesting and relevant material. Quote:
