Thanks for the link!
I read about this doc a while ago, and was really interested in seeing it. Now I want to see the other two parts. Impressive how much archival footage they managed to put together (because, it's an expensive route in doc-making; cheaper to shoot your own footage). Lots of intriguing points made. It's the kind of doc that makes you want to talk to someone for another hour or ten about what the piece touched on. Frosty (getting first round) |

^are you joking me?!WALMART SELLS DOCUMENTARYS!!!!????!!!!
i <3 walmart and thebobman,i know youre being sarcastic BUT...I dont hate the troops I have alot of respect for them. However I hate what theyre doing and who theyre doing it for.I wish war was the way it was back in the day, where the kings and noble men would go toe to toe with thier enemies. Our leaders today are cowards. But we all knew that. |

yeah I was just milling about my thoughts, and I discussed with my mom where I stood on war.And I was just thinking about like back in the 1500`s and what not when our leaders actually had pride and prowess, now theyre nothing but a bunch of cowardly sunsabitches and almost makes me ashamed to be a human in modern day.
You look at ones leader, and it does reflect some what on its people because in north america theres this supposed "democracy",with that said we as a people collectively decide what should and should not be done and who should or should not do it.If we have cowards as the frontmen of our country(s), then we look like cowards ourselves. And no wonder why we have "terrorists" and religious finatics doing thier leaders bidding. anyways im just rambling ill shut up now. |

cuz like i dunno if youve looked around lately but thats the "community" we`re living in bud. |

*Easy Answer*
I wonder what would be your answer if you were hard working fulltime with extra hours and not even being able to live out of it? So in other words, the only thing in what it can be beneficial is the ''consumers&company owners''. Do you think the world is going to go far that way? I believe we must find a profitable middle in witch the community will grow and not crawl. |

^Hi i do work hard for a shit wage bud:)and its for a fat cat company too!And I cant live off of it thats why I have to live at home.So dont hand be that garbage my friend.
And dude its always been about the consumers and company owners,we live in NORTH AMERICA...not fucking BHUTAN! And our "community" has been crawling for decades,if we found a comfortable middle we`d all be a bunch of commie bastards. |

uhm i dont work for walmart i work for amazon.com...but anyways.
Look at our economy, and look at the employment standards act,its an employers game.Employers can give you just the bare minimum and get away with it.The cutbacks in funding for social projects and the cutbacks for schooling gives people no other choice but to work a minimum wage job as you need little to no skills or formal training for it.If you look at job demand they are all mostly minimum wage or barely above minimum wage jobs with pt hours, and who do we have to thank? Gordon Campbell. How can we go about changing that?Voting. The current state of emplyment affairs has little to do with companys like walmart setting up shop,if anything they help the employment situation by creating more jobs, sure theyre not the greatest but its giving those who are less fortunate financially to provide some what of a living for themselves. |

And I know what is going on in North A., what I am trying to say is they are doing no good. I believe not even the consumer since I have all ready bought stuff there and I could find it as cheap somewhere else(Small store) So I'd say ''company owner only'' A. Atleast more then 75% products are Imported products, witch makes less work in North America and people in Asia have terrible work conditions...Fair? I call it exploitation and I know it goes way ferther then that. B. I prefer a city with lots of little town shops in witch those shops are specialized and know what they are selling and importing, compared to a giant stores that is mainly junk and making the local economy worse then it all ready was (They're will probably have no price difference)...Does it mean we have to fallow the crowd? Our world or ''society'' would not be what it is if we did all the same things, if a situation is bad does that mean we musn't step forward in order to correct those economical&cultural bumps. C. Since the 19th century America has been under control of private banks, in other words that small groupe of people is pretty much controlling atleast 50% of the holl world(and not part of a public regulation), in witch I would also say that not one single of those dollars you put in those stores is benefic in anyways to comunities... Think of that, imagine a world that is more and more over taxe, cause people can't pay for they're own good like anymore. I doubt that anyone would like the taxe rates to go up. Not all big stores are like THAT, thats why I will give no generalization for what you were probably refering to, I believe that is the middle we must find IN BIG STORES THAT are PROFITABLE WORLDWIDE and NOT just PROFITABLE TO OWNERS. :) |
