The Hoezone is closing!
This is probably old news for you peeps and someone probably already posted it, but just in case:
Surrey Now Published: Wednesday, November 30, 2005 SURREY - A Surrey landmark of sorts will soon move from strippers to strip mall. City council gave preliminary approval Monday to a proposal that would see the Newton Inn give way to a shopping centre anchored by Save-On-Foods. The redevelopment of the 2.5-hectare site on King George Highway near 72nd Avenue would see the hotel, Delanie's Pub and the Ozone nightclub demolished. Delanie's offered exotic dancers with the beer and last summer presented Maxi Mounds, the proud holder of the Guinness Book of Records title for "World's Largest Augmented Breasts." Coun. Bob Bose said Surrey would lose a building of some historical significance, but couldn't say with any certainty when the Newton Inn was built. "It was probably built in the '50s or '60s, I think," Bose said. "It's not one of the jewels in the crown of the city, that's for sure." The redevelopment proposal will go to public hearing Monday, Dec. 12. © The Vancouver Sun 2005 |

im not much of a clubber at all, but nearly everytime i went there i had a blast there was one night where this one dood in a wheelchair got tanked out of his mind and he started grabbing every chicks ass and tits on teh dancefloor, there was a mixed reaction since he was in a wheelchair, obviously no one tried to kick his ass, but i remember that to be one of the great "ho-zone" moments oh yea, and the fact that they allow 16 year old girls in, thats pretty hilarious too |
