peroni (italy): a light lager, blows stella out of the water. quite possibly better than heineken. they have in the past carried it at the big liqour store on cambie, sometimes they have it, sometimes they dont.
Mickeys (usa): comes in a stubby, redstripe type bottle. brewed in wisconson, straight up american malt liqour. this one will probably be more difficult to find.
Zhujiang (china): 5.3% alcohol, another lager. better, but comparable to stella. doesnt have the same watery taste that stella has sometimes. more full bodied if you ask me. i have only seen this at a couple places in richmond only.
Sapporo Silver (Japan): best draft beer ever made. expensive though, i think it runs for like 5.50$ for a tall can of it.
San Miguel (Phillipines): kinda watery, but a good pilsner still. plus, the real san miguel says this shit on the bottle "A truly satisfying beer with a refined, well-balaced flavor. Perfected and brewed for over a century. The only beer that nourishes true Filipino friendships." Epic. A filipino friend of mine says they mix this shit with rum over there and drink it straight. It's called blue devil i think. Certified Gangsta.
(The bottle looks different in Canada)
i could go on forever with this, there is so many to choose from. these are the more obvious choices. my advice is dont buy any of the canned pub ales (Boddingtons, ect...), they have so little carbonation, too flat for most people. they will taste like grain water to most people.
