talk to the doc. then talk to your piercer. I dont understand what the reasoning would be behind NOT taking it out if the infection is serious enough? - You ear is more important then having to having a repierce done. Nonetheless, a mild infection can be treated with antibiotics, and please note that asides from keeping your piercing clean with non-reactionary simple soap, stay away from everything else at this point. Make sure the pillow your sleeping on at night is clean, and the cover isnt being cleaned with a laundry detergent that may be somewhat harsh on sensitive skin as well.
take care of your stress level, and what your putting injesting into your body as well. Taking a more holistic approach while a new peircing is the healing process, never hurts! |

how do you know it's actually infected VS just being really angry?
if it's actually infected you'll have a marble sized lump on the piercing site and you'll notice a temperature difference of about 10 degrees in the area. most people freak out and think any irritation is an end all infection and it's not! don't touch it and go visit your piercer stat! |
