Room Painting Suggestions

Arite, i got a regular 4 corner room. the color currently is purple. I would like to change it to something different and nice, maybe even mix up a few colors. or make a mural. or something, anything. any suggestions, this room is not going to be my bedroom, its going to be a chill room, im gonna put my decks in there, and have a tv, just for chilling. thats why i dont wanna paint it flat colors. any ideas? i wanna do something cool. like a DJ or a musicians room.

go to chapters and check out the last issue of frame( its white and red spots) they do a section on interior painted in some pretty fresh graphic styles! Its pretty easy even if your not artistically inclined to do a really cool paint job. Im partial to simple graphics that transfer from one plane to another(like wall to ceiling) All you need is some patience and masking tape, and you can make something really cool. I think i remember you having some skills with the drawing steez, but if you get in a rut, hit me up, ill throw some ideas your way.

another route is to go full on murals. if your not comfortable doing enormous pieces, then do a small digital version, hook your comp up to a projector(easily rentable) and blast it up on your wall, where you can sketch in the imagery, or atleast some reference points.

do a mural or something fun, since it not a bedroom it can be busy looking. If youre looking for a background colour, or solid colour for the other walls, check out behr.com and you can play around with colour combos and see them set out in a room.

thanks for the suggestions, since im mostly gonna practice dj in that room, and just chill watch tv, listen to music, i was thinking of making it like sorta simple, black and white. but i would also like to do some nice paintings. like maybe some dex or some music notes. something creative.

get a bunch of foam core boards. put em up on the walls. paint it up with murals or graffitti, whatever suits yer fancy however ya like.

When you get sick a that. thake them down and flip em do a new one. Or just buy new boards....?
That way yer never stuck . and If you have multiple boards painted up and saved for re-use . you could always switch up the boards.

painting the room over is no real problem for me. i just want to know what i should paint on the walls. i have some idea. but i want more input.
