Way to go Krista, I start school Monday. That is really awesome! I am excited but freaked out at the same time, I haven't been a student in 7 years.

I am taking the Marketing/Commerce transfer program at Kwantlen and transferring to UBC cause I can go to school free there.

Not my fault you only post in the ones relevant to me :P

I've never used my laptop at school. I always took notes the old fashioned way. The tap tap tap on the keys used to drive me nuts :P

Plus I'd probably leave it on the skytrain...

Wait one sec, I posted here first. You just followed me in!

Is it hard to keep up with the Profs? That is my fear and I type much faster than I write.

It all depends on how you learn. A lot of info is available online. I usually just take notes on the general ideas the profs going on about to give me more of a study guideline... although history would state the exams can basically be on anything they've told you to read EVER.

I'm sure you'll do great. And Kwantlen has nice small classes...

Oh, and the other thing that made me not want to use a laptop... (and this totally depends on what classes you're taking) is diagrams... People were writing in their notes "see diagram" and then still had to have a notebook to do all of their diagrams in.

That makes sense, sounds a bit cheaper on my wallet too.

I guess I am just going to have to wait and see what it is like. I have heard that about exams, but on the flip side, I have heard of profs that only quiz on what they speak about.

With my luck, I will get a prof that hasn't been laid in years and has a serious stick up their ass, that will kick me out every class. *flashes back to grades 8-12*
