i like living on the drive......its really nice to walk up during the summer months....i love the food and the little markets...alot of ppl are out shopping!!!...they even were considering closing down the ability to drive down it on sundays because of all the little festivals and markets etc....
its actually very pricey to shop too....

joes cafe or STFU!! except i heard that joe didnt like the idea of two girls kissing in his place once, and kicked them out? And i heard he unleashed the garden hose on them, when they were kissing outside? Im kinda nervous to call em on it, as we always have mawo sub committe meetings there. But still, isnt that kinda fucked? I wouldnt expect that from joe?

^I know dykes who lived (and some still do) in the 'hood when that whole lesbo-thang went down @ Joe's. The whole lesbian community lashed out at him in the most vociferous way!
But, Lawrd! That had to be at least 3 years ago, now! As for the name and the residents who live there? Areas change, mate! Look @ E. Hastings, once a prominent and pricey area of Van. And, I don't know why, but the talking muffins made me fall off my chair, lmao! Frosty (never actually _on_ the "Drive" )

hmmm, i think that only the first part of your post was directed at me? yeah, i remember the "incident" from a long time ago, but i only got in with joe and the rest of the crew, in the beginning of 2005. How did the community lash out? I never really heard anything? Gimme the dirt on ol jo! and his lesbian lashing hose!

^Yeah, I replied to 3 separate posts at the same time.
It started to get nasty! There were so many dykes who frequented the place, it was just considered a "give" that all was cool, so they took the affront in the worst way. There were chicks going in there, ordering stuff, and dumping and running, full-on shout fests, condemning Joe and the place, picket lines w/ signs, and an all-out boycott from the gay community. It weren't pretty. Some of this made the local print media. (I wouldn't know about the tv coverage, if any) Frosty (not a witness) Edit: PS If you're asking about the actual "incident", from most accounts he just got upset with the "heavy make-out" session, and kicked them out.
