I dunno man Philly is a good team when Healthy if their teams stays healthy there gonna be dangerous. Also they have the size as well as the skill.

Ottawa, Philly and Dallas are a big three.

Dallas seems to be the best sleeper. They have the debt and heart to make it far in the playoffs


I think what is really interesting is what are the playoffs gonna be like with the new crackdowns on penalties...... It aint' gonna be the same, that's for sure

Turco has never got it done, goaltending wise in the playoffs. And that lineup doesn't scare me particularly, though it's nothing to sneeze at.

They have solid players in Zubov, Modano, Morrow, Arnott, Guerin and company.

Thing about this team is most of their solid players are also pretty old.

but i still consider them one of the teams to come out of the west.

I still call Van vs Philly in the final though it looks to be alongshot for van anyways.

Philly has a great chance of winning it all. They have size, they have skill, and they have youth as well as solid solid veterans. They also have pretty decent goaltending.

^ and the Olympics dude. Remember at the World Juniors even though they ended up taking out the crackdown on penalties via NHL officiating.

The IIHF said for the Winter Olympics Hockey in 2006 they are going to be using NHL officiating.

Meaning heavy crackdown on hooking, tripping any obstruction. I guess that means penalties for delay of game if you clear the puck over the board in your zone.

I actually kinda enjoyed the hockey from 2003 because at least you knew when the calls were coming, and you knew what they were.
