fable is an unknown quantity at this point
unite the "left/progressive"

Its a good time for all of us to join those activist groups, or take those political classes, or even read that book, that we may have thought of in the past. The attacks will be swift, and they will come equiped with their own rhetoric, and divisionary smokescreens.

If it aint MAWO, the Stop War, if it aint Stop War, then pick any of the other fringe activist groups. If we consider ourselves Canadian, then so be it, but, lets be educated Canadians. Talking politics has garnered a reputation of heated diatribe, and drunk talk over the last decade or so. But if we understand politics, to be the primary tool to adjust a nation to suit the needs of said nations people, then knowing our politics, and understanding what they mean historically, should be just as "Canadian" as maple syrup, Winnepeg socials, Calgary stampedes, Vancouver rain, good beer, and Canadian Club.

The only concession im able to make to the sting of a conservative win, is that this will get many "sitting on the fence liberal progressives" off their well meaning asses, and to the books, and to the streets, and perhaps understand that we are NOT the the kinder, gentler, smarter little brother of the US, rather we are the young upstart competing with him.
