Drinking V8..
So in my attempt to balance out my diet a bit, i've begun drinking a glass/can of V8 a day because i know i dont get enough vegetables every day.
Someoen told me that V8 is really just sugared up vegetables and the healthy aspect is just balanced out by the sugar content.....is that true? |

No, it is blended vegetables in a can. Most recognized diets encourage the drinking of V8. It would be what they call a free drink. You can drink it without penalty.
Most vegetables have sugar, including tomatoes and carrots which are two of the main ingredients in V8. |

Well, there is no GOOD suger per se....there are good fats, found in things like olive oil and avacado. Vegetables have unavoidable sugar....but if you want to avoid be fattened up by said sugar, you should have no more than one cup of a certain vegetable per meal. Hence, when I make dinner, I mix a whole bunch of veggies so I can have more than one cup as it acts as cheap healthy filler.

Tomatoes aren't veggies, they are fruit
And there are vegetables that don't have lots of sugar in them like spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, and beans Other veggies like carrots, squash and things that seem sweeter not only have sugar in them but starch as well, which eventually breaks down into sugar or glucose. I think drinking a can of v8 shouldn't be too bad for you, check the Nutrition label and see how many grams of sugar is in it. A teaspoon is 4 grams, so you can calculate it in teaspoons, which is a more relatable measurement than grams. :D |

It still counts as a serving of Veggies though. And you can drink this alongside water. V8 isn't bad for you. If you were to make the juice yourself in the juicer, it would be the same caloric count as if you got it in a can of V8.

V8 has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much sodium, but better than drinking pop. Having a juicer is the bomb, expensive though. i bought a little box of stawberries today and it only made a little over a glass of juice! fuck ssssssssssssssso good though. nothing like freshly squeezed stuff

what i do to get my daily source of vitamins is make breakfast smoothies...
throw in bunch of fruits and shit, mango, strawberry, raspberry.. whatever the fuck u want... blend it with juice and voila... fills u up too and makes u digest good |
