haha my friend was just talking about something simimlar tonight. He said he tested a girl at work by grabbing the ugliest shirt in the store and asking her how it looked on him.. she said it was hot of course then he preceeded to tell her he knew she was lying just for a sale. She tried to get out of it but it didnt work very well :P

clothing in general costs an arm and a leg now.. but we're all "use to it". there was a hostess that was hired this week and she walks in and was like "wow i got a great deal on this shirt.. it only cost me 100 bucks".. the shirt was part of her work get up.. i find it totally ironic how she would spend 100 on a single shirt when she works and makes 45 dollars that day at her 8 dollars an hour job. how do all these kids have all this money to buy clothes!? parents?

I am not a pretty lady in a clothing store, and neither have I ever worked on commision, but I love helping straight clueless men shop.
A guy (prob in his mid-twenties) came into my shop with his buddy looking slightly clueless, wearing skater type clothes looking for a job interview outfit. He was about to wear his saggy ass black cords to the interview so I told him that he'd have to buy a pair of dress pants to go with the tops I picked out for him so I threw a pair at him and fixed him up.. He bought the whole entire $300 outfit that I put together for him, and he was all set for his job interview. I LOVE dressing boys up, especially the clueless kind. They are my "project". 45 bucks for jeans is the sale of the century. some girls will pay upwards of 300 dollars for a pair of jeans. seems ludacris to me, but it does exist. |

From a girl's perspective, I went shopping for a hoody for my #1 for xmas this year and happened to go into a few stores looking for the perfect one (because he is so picky and it had to be perfect) and I went into some stores on w4th and had some pretty attractive young men trying to help me and I didn't really feel motivated to buy everything they pointed out..I just felt awkward like I usually do when most boys talk to me and I wanted to get out of the store on the ASAP...haha

As for sales ppl... i hate them 80-90% of the time. Either im just looking and cant stand being asked by every single perky sales person 'hi, are you looking for anything in particular" etc. Then if im acutaly in need of help I find a huge majority of them are dumb lazy bimbos who find it easyer to say "sorry were all out' than actualy try to find what im looking for. Or even better give me a really shitty option "oh well what about this colour" HAHA... no thats not what Im looking for!
As for the "that looks good on you" DO YOU SERIOUSLY FALL FOR THAT SHIT? I only trust very few retailers who proove their honesty. Either they can realate to my body/style type or give me whats good or can point out somthing that I can actualy beleive in and see for myself. Quote:

but there are also the ones with very generous parents. those ones bother me a little. they should be learning the value of earned money, not credit cards that are paid off by mommy and daddy i barely ever ask salespeople their opinion about what i try on. they are not gonna be the ones wearing the clothes, it'll be me. if i really need an opinion, i'll bring my mom with me |
