hoolllliieeeeee shiiit! is this thing addicting! ive zoomed in on my house,my old school, my work,my fav campsite,my fav fishing river, the shambala site, new york, washingtone dc,places ive been,thailand,the pyrimids,the great wall of china..... this thing if fucking amazing! and really, reaaaaaaally tripy after you smoke a joint. but its also kinda creepy. if this is availible to public then what kind of capibility dose 'big brother' have? cant find WMD'S? cant find terroists strongholds? cant locate were exactly north korea's nuclear weapons testing faciclity is? bullshit.

I agree, google earth IS amazing. Theres a whole bunch of add-ons you can download to make the earth more to your liking, be it.. add clouds, or add in famous landmarks in its full 3d effect.
I immediately went searching for some of the major cities i had visited this past summer to see if i could recognize any landmarks, it took a while but i found where my hostel was in barcelona, along with the actual spot of where i took a picture in front of the eiffel tower. example:   fake edit: resizing can suck it

some cool things to check out: mt st helens (you can actually see INTO the mountain, and how it blew and stuff... pretty cool)... Piccadilly square in london (you can see the millions of ppl all around it.. and even the big ben)... umm... there were some other cool shit, but those were definitely check-outs... then of course theres the obvious, like the eiffel tower, new york (which was actually really cool - i think you can even see where sept 11 happened)....
