you probably are going through withdrawl depending on what your coffee intake was:
"Regular caffeine consumption reduces sensitivity to caffeine. When caffeine intake is reduced, the body becomes oversensitive to adenosine. In response to this oversensitiveness, blood pressure drops dramatically, causing an excess of blood in the head (though not necessarily on the brain), leading to a headache. This headache, well known among coffee drinkers, usually lasts from one to five days, and can be alleviated with analgesics such as aspirin. It is also alleviated with caffeine intake (in fact several analgesics contain caffeine dosages). Often, people who are reducing caffeine intake report being irritable, unable to work, nervous, restless, and feeling sleepy, as well as having a headache. In extreme cases, nausea and vomiting has also been reported." http://www.faqs.org/faqs/caffeine-faq/ |

I drink lots of loose leaf teas, check out www.adagio.com. I'm really partial to white teas, they are very subtle. If your not down with the caffeine, you might want to check out rooibos, its a South African herbal tea.

I know how it is... I also switched from coffee to tea because I used to get horrible stomach pains from drinking it... now, I love tea... It actually has more caffeine (if you drink the black stuff) apparently than coffee and it can taste sooo yummy! but, the initial switch is definitely hard, and I occasionally have coffee here and there (though my stomach never thanks me)... good luck! and I recommend Chai tea, that's my fav!

^true. But i find all chai tea that comes in tea bag form is pretty weak.
I'd suggest getting a loose herbal chai and then mixing it with green tea if you want something with more flavour...or just having the herbal chai on it's own! My absolute fave is this one: http://www.silkroadtea.com/teaequipa...rbal_chai.html mmm, i *heart* tea! |
