what the bleep do we know? - down the rabbit hole

http://www.whatthebleep.com/

the directors cut, i really want to go see this, has anyone gone to it yet?
anyone want to go with me sometime soon?

"in the Director’s Cut, the interviews are lengthened and a full 95% of all interviews is new, never before seen footage exploring the links between quantum mechanics, neurobiology, human consciousness and day-to-day reality."

supposedly more about quantum mechanics..

I watched it after getting back from a club, still tweaking on some really good MDMA.

Needless to say, I was entertained...

Someone should start selling this, I Heart Huckabees, and Waking Life in a 3 pack.. call it the Perspective Shift Pack

It does leave you with more questions than answers in the end.

That's a good thing IMHO.:111:

i saw the first one and some parts were fairly interesting, but i think that they fed into the whole religious thing too much,... and the whole wedding.. i think they pushed that a little too much... too cheesy for me

i liked waking life a lot better then 'what the bleep do we know', but i will still watch the directors cut

My buddies girlfriend always gets all pissed off if i turn on the news saying that she can't "handle it." So we have to turn it to desperate housewives or something. One of the many reasons why i hate her with a passion.

The average human runs from thought like it's a leper.

That's why movies/music are so simple.

No more than 1 plot twist or the average joe gets lost.

No more than a few notes in a song or the average joe can't sing along.

It is hard to find thick juicy knowledge.

That's why I stick to the Esoteric knowledge.

It's always thick and juicy.

Fuckin' love this book.

Can read it 20 times and still learn.:066:

The occult history of the Third Reich.

Hitler loved Blavatsky.

Goebbels was a reincarnated Aryan King.

I know all about it.

Fuckin' loons.

Using the knowledge for personal gain, not cool.

It's why they failed.

Trying to use the magick for evil.

FOOOOOOLS ! :Stab1:

So, there's more stuff, huh?

I'm intrigued.

I'd like to see it.

I've gotta say, the flick did a bloody good job w/ the visuals/images in the flick! Thoroughly impressive!

I think what I like the most about "WTFDWK?", is that it got soooo many people to actually _talk_ about these metaphysical concepts, that many people had heard of, but not thought of, before.

I heard about and participated in some very interesting conversations relating to that flick.

Kudos to the producers!

I haven't seen the first one, but my dad has, and he said that there was a lot of bullshit in it... he said there were things they said in the movie that contracted things he had read in "the elegant universe", a book on string theory by brian greene... I personally can't say shit about it though because I've never seen it, but I have read a review on it that went into good depth about it being "cult propaganda" that went on about things that seemed incredibly far-fetched, even for the spiritual...

I have a book ("the tao of physics" by fritjof capra) and have read a few others about parallels between quantum physics and eastern philosophy... I've also read up a lot on nonlocality theory, bohm's interpretation of quantum mechanics, and bits and pieces of "the elegant universe", as well as seen the Nova three part special on the elegant universe... based on what I've read and seen I believe that there are lot of valid parallels between the two... but with that said, I've learned to take what I read about that subject at a distance because a lot in buddism/taoism has taught me that these concepts are just as fragile as anything else in this world, and that I should not attach myself to them... just like one should not confuse the signs for the path...
