the obvious West-side recommendation is Vij's, http://www.vijs.ca, generally accepted as one of the best restaurants in Vancouver.. no reservations... be prepared to wait on weekends.
If you want to be uber-trendy, ATM it's all about Indian street food. Look for any sort of "chaat". But be sure to consume it on a street corner-- you wouldn't want to be called out as a poser. |

Then there's Nirvana, which is around 6th and Main. I order from there (they should deliver to your place) and i've eaten in as well. It's really good. Nice atmosphere.... Try Chutney Villa. That's the best place by far around that area, I think. It looks like a hole in a wall, and is really tiny, but the food is awesome. They bring around a tray of different flavours of chutney and you get to pick a bunch to try with your meal. |
