Curling Irons (suggestions)
Im guessing the best way to go is to buy a $150-$300 professional ceramic curling iron.
However Im not that absest or crazy. Im wondering if anyone can sugest the better brand in an under $50 catagory that I can find at a place like london drugs etc. Also are the ceramic PLATED irons good enough? ps: any sugestions on hair producs that dont make your hair go hard as rock when curling? |

Are you looking for fat barrel? reg sized barrel?
Ceramic is best, bc it heats evenly and quickly. My hairdresser told me just to go to LD and grab one. Cost me $15 for a fat barrel one. And I was prepared to spend $200+, but he said it so wasn't necessary. Mine's a Revlon. Last edited by veN; Mar 15, 06 at 07:58 PM. |

Hey there
I would suggest buying a conair. I have one that is a 1 inch and it was 15 bucks at walmart and it's ceramic coated. It heats in 60 seconds and has 20 different temperature settings do you don't fry your hair if you have fine hair and you're not holding it for hours if you have heavy hair. As for the products to use that don't make your hair feel like glue, I use a little bit a mousse through my hair when it's wet and hten when it's dry and it gives it that little stay power that you need. Hairspray is also a nice alternative as it doesn't make it feel like a chunk of hair as opposed to strands. I also use this salon stuff called KMS and it's a smoother as well as a holder and it keeps the style quite nicely. The curling iron name that I have is called Conair Instant Heat :) |
