the best pizza by the slice on granville!!!! (pls read)
so the prayers of the multitude have finally been answered and there is actually a really good slice spot on granville, and it's open late night. it's called pie in the sky, and it's on granville about 1/4 block north of davie on the west side. $2 a slice for new york style, hand-stretched thin crust, big slices, quality ingredients, and they do it right by not letting the shit sit under a heatlamp, but letting it cool then throwing it back in the oven to reheat when you order. they also are pretty nice guys, with good taste in music.
seriously good pizza, by the slice, on granville. please please, please eat there whenever you have a late night pizza jones, because i want this place to be around for a long long time. i don't know the guys, and i've got nothing to do with it, but i'm considering putting them on the flyer as automatic sponsors for free. that's how good this is. support, we need this, that is all. jay Last edited by automatic; Mar 24, 06 at 12:21 PM. |

and after you try it out and agree with me please tell everyone you know.
i wanted to smack some drunk guy a couple of weeks ago who was giving them a hard time about the pizza being $2, telling them that there's a place up the street for $.93, and he's just going to go there unless they give him a deal, etc... this is the real shit, and unfortunately the drunken bridge and tunnel crowd on granville are probably dumb enough to think that two slices of crap greasy cardboard and fake cheese for $2 is a better deal than one real slice of quality. i really want this place to be there when i need it, (as you can probably tell), so try it, love it, and spread the word... they also do pick-up (not sure about delivery), so if you live in the westend area think about it. |

Uncle Fatih
On the corner of Commercial and Broadway, this is inarguably the best pizza by the slice for the money in town. $3.50 gets you two big slices and a can of pop in every major flavour (Dr. Pepper, two kinds of Root Beer, all the Crush flavours, everything). Otherwise, it's a classy $1.50 slice that'll make you question ever going anywhere else again. This place is legendary. |

who even cares. the two places aren't even that close together. if you're on granville and want pizza, go to the one jay posted. if you're at broadway and commercial, go to the one mangle posted. i'm sure he didn't mean any disrespect, he was just posting a pizza place, in the pizza place thread.
