Tattooing VR.s Branding.
I cant decide to get it Branded or Tattooed for this new mark
NEVER had a branding before... I sort of want it to look like its been carved in my skin... so Im leaning toward branding. MY question... anyone HAVE branding.... where did you get it... pain factor? |

Branding is ok but just the thought of it reminds me of cows but it really depends on what your getting branded its totally different from a tattoo in how you can change things or get it ajusted but branding is different i think you should put more thought into , like get something branded but make it small and see how you like it first cause obviously you've been tattooed before then that way if you think its not worth it getting branded then get it tattooed but then if you like how the branding comes out then go for it!

I heard for branding what you want to do is once the blister breaks you rub charcol dust in the wound and then rinse gently. then wrap and let heal. That will make it stand out (it will be black). I've thought about it, I prefer being burnt then stabbed by a needlegun 1000's of times.....But yea, there is the "cow" thing too....
Do what you want to do to YOUR body. Just try not to do somthing you will regret. I have a couple buddies with really lame tattoos that they totally wish they didnt have. |

okis weeeelllllllll, i got a tatty and a bunch of piecings and no brands. i have an extremely high pain tolerance to that kinda thing i fell asleep in the chair for my tatty(12x6inch).
the best idea i've heard of when it comes to branding so far is have one done with no charcoal dust or any ink whatsoever(i gues this could work with scarification, but now as well) anyways get your brand and do it WELL i mean real well so it's a nice thick scar, then wait a few months for it to heal and hav it outlined or complimented by shadowing in tattoo form. when it comes to surface body adjustments(i hate the term mutilation as you are not making your body look worse) the point is to be creative and express yourself right, not copy the guy who was in the chair before you, so my suggestion is go crazy with it and really do something freaky. |

If you are thinking about it and have any questions or are wondering who to go to, there's Elwood at Dermagraphic Osmosis in Richmond. I don'tk know if he does it out of the shop (probably not) but he's one choice to go to. I did a radio documentary on body branding last year and he was my expert. Quite an expert on it too. Check out his website...www.allaboutelwood.com - he'll answer any questions/concerns you have too.
