For once I agree with Euro-raver....

Having your ID checked upon entry of your building for security seems like such a minor inconvenience compared to what those children went through. If I were a parent and lived in that building, I would want far more than that done.

LOL are you fucking serious!

Vancouver Islands crime rate is higher then Vancouver. If you take population into concideration.

There are SO many home invations over there!

I used to live there, trust me I know.
I had many house broken into.
And I know a few people murdered over there.
Many kidnappings and rapings.
In one summer alone,
I was held up at work,
my car got broken into once,
my roomates car twice then stolen and burned. I was driving home from owrk one night and some sketchy guy jumped on the hood on my little cars and slid over and tried to open the drivers door! My boyfriend was in the car too and this guy still tried to get into my car!

Why were the kids in your hirise parking lot? Did the guy live there? The kidnappers?

^ not sure... apparently some ppl that live in my building were driving into or out of the parkade.. and the trunk popped open and they seen the kids inside and then went up their apartment to call the cops..

from what i understand, when they went back down to the parkade the car they were in was gone.

Once again, I am not seeing how any of this is a hardship, considering that that police officer has probably checked over 100 ID's that day and shouldn't be required to recognize every person that lives there....

Your rant just seems a little unjustified considering the situation.....

^true, its not the end of the world.

i guess my hardship doesnt really compare to what the kids or the parents actually had to go through.

actually.. it DEFINETLY doesnt compare.
