Jennifer Government by Max Barry
By far one of the more pleasurable reads I've had in the past while. A work of fiction based on an all-too-possible future where taxation is abolished and consumerism drives EVERYTHING. Not particularly deep but an enjoyable read with some pretty crazy implications!

me too!
My book club is reading 'Vernon God Little' by DBC Pierre right now.... well we just picked our book yesterday. We get together to discuss it on June 4th I think it is. You should join Jake! Book clubs are awesome! (Yes, I'm fully aware of how many geek points I just earned by saying that) Last edited by Cdn_Brdr; May 10, 06 at 02:21 PM. |

lots of folks in it.... once you've read two books and attended two meetings (usually held at a coffee house on the drive or a pub) you are able to put in suggestions for what we read next. We like to switch in between newer books and classics.
Not every person shows up for every meeting of course but there's a good 25 of us or so in total. |
