I have some kava kava on order from bouncing bear;
from what i know; kava kava is a mild sedative;it reduces anxiety and stress... 5-htp is metabolized as tryptophan -> seratonin..kava brew apparently tastes terrible and is hard to swallow; they're very different substances.. so i wouldn't really draw much of a comparison between the two.. i wouldn't really say one is better or worse.. |

I take 5-HTP. It works great. After about a month, the "feel good all day" thing doesn't seem to be as effective, but I still sleep great. I am an insomniac, so that still works for me.
I've never heard of kavakava before. I might have to do some reading up on that. |
