question for the lifeguards.
i know that there are a couple on this board, i just don't remember who you are.

i was watching "southpark" last night and it was the episode where cartman learns how to swim. all of his friends bug him about the first graders that urinate in the pool and, quite naturally, he is disgusted by all the urine. watching this brought back old memories of when i used to swim in pools and i remember an old rumour that i don't know is true or not.

are there some pools that, when you urinate in the pool, emit a red dye that follows the person who peed?

you think i haven't already tried that? i haven't been able to find the red dye places though. i think they might be a swimming lesson myth.

i don't know of any facilities in the lower mainland that use it. it is pricey and messes with the pool chems. plus, people would then have to get out of the water to piss, and who wants to do that? swim club swims for 2 hours straight sometimes.....very seldom do you see them get out.

got me. Delta doesnt use anything. piss is mainly water anyways, and is sterile...so as gross as it is to be wading in other peoples piss, it isnt going to do anything to you.

I actually asked a lifeguard this question @ the Fleetwood rec he said that the shit does exist but they don't use it cause the whole pool would be red/green all the time.:285:

i have such a huge phobia of public pools due to the things you find and the thing you imagine you'd find in them... i don't remember the last time I swam in a public pool..
