ah yeah... rooting for Iran too. They have a great shot at making it to the second round if they stay healthy. They have the ability to catch some teams off guard.

^ never underestimate france.

They still have Thierry Henry and an aging but still very smart Zedine.

and a small supporting cast but not so sure they can keep up with the best teams in this years world cup.

p.s: go japan haha

France has no heart they'll never bounce back

Surprised a French player ACTUALLY can get injured, I thought they only had the ability to fake injuiries.

French players aren't the only one who fake getting injured or tripped you know.

European all over is known for it.

P.S: my picks are either Brazil or the Czech Republic,.

but i want Japan to at least make it to the quarters or semi's.

We all know who I'm cheering for.

I think it'll get interesting after the first round. I was looking at the odds on Proline... Didn't have enough time to get a ticket though. FUCK! Could've made $200.

Cisse getting injured could be a blessing in disguise. He has some skills but the guy is one of the biggest floaters/cherry pickers I've ever seen. No heart whatsoever.

Kenji, not only mainland Europe, but also South America is known for diving. England, MY TEAM, we don't do that shit. ... OK, Joe Cole being the exception :(

Karl, good sleeper picks. I'm keeping an eye on Australia and Iran, but I probably have some pretty illogical reasons at the heart of those picks. Still, if the Aussies weren't in such a horrible group I'd be picking them to get to the knockout stages, and they still might.

so you guys get to see all the games in the early morning... or noon
I remember watching the Euro 2004 at school in nanaimo. hehe
I always asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom for a sec and so I missed important parts of English 12 classes. Graduated anyway

What we learned from game #1

- Germany may be at a somewhat low ebb talent-wise, but that doesn't mean they're going to be push-overs

- That said, they have some serious issues in defense

- Someone should have told Costa Rica that the World Cup has started

I was out at dinner for the 2nd game, but apparently Poland are eager to repeat their performance in 2002.
