HAHAHAH Ryan Smiths goal was about as cheeeeeesy as the come, the Oilers are showing they got some heart but...I dont even know why an 8th place team is there...

well this isn't like the old days.... they were saying all year, that any team that makes it to the playoffs has a chance.

The Oilers make key acquisitions that enabled them to get to where they are.
If they didn't make half the trades this season, there is no doubt in my mind they would have missed the playoffs.

And its not even just this year look at least year. Calgary was 6th in the west in standings.

Playoff's u cant win on skill alone *well you can but* for the majority you gotta have a bunch of things going which none of the big teams had this year with the exception of carolina. Which isnt even that big of a team like detroit or jersey anyways.
