Need your help! Vote and help me decide which is the closest colour match

They made 5 colour variations and these were the 2 that I chose.

Now you people tell me which one matches best. I do plan to test both pods in a couple of other black interior Audis but I think I got the grey tone down this time.

All pics were taken outdoors with overcast sky and without flash. What you see is what you will get.

I'm letting this poll run 2 days then submitting the winner as the colour the pods will be made.

if these're made of vinyl are they going to resist bleaching by the sun? otherwise I'd say the first sample is a closer match to the dash trim (underneath the wood trim) which is pretty highly visible (unlike the underside)

since it's two halves, how much more would it cost to make a top & and a bottom piece of the same material. If I had a pimp-ass S4 I was modifying I'd prolly pay a resonable amount extra so that it was a perfect match.

These are made out of PVC and I don't know how well they will resist sun bleaching.

It is pretty sheltered by the instrument cowl and most Audi owners tint their windows so it will reduce the amount of fade due to UV exposure.

I'm not going to make a bottom piece as it's not something people will buy. The reason I can't make a 100% colour match is due to the fact Audi paints all of their plastic parts in order to achieve the wonderful tactile feel they have.

I compared the same piece from 3 different cars and they are the same colour code but they were all different shades of charcoal grey.

aight, well the difference is seriously very minimal in both samples I suppose if your customers end up being really picky they can just track down the paint Audi uses on their trim. it's certainly a slick insturment pod either way.

pvc degrades when exposed to sunlight.

color looks the same in the pix.

Sample one seems to match the dash the best imo.
However I notice the top and bottom are diffrent shades?

In Sample two the shade looks a tint browner compared to the dash board.
However the top and bottom blend in better then sample one.

So im confused... is your product the thing going all around the steering wheel including the light switch etc... or is it just the top piece with the scale thing?

The word isnt poping into my head... basikly the product that winston is selling... with the hand that tells you the speed or whatever it does (i cant remmeber I dont own an audi) And any words that I can think of I dont know where to start with the spelling.

If I had ms paint on this mac I would point to it... but I cant :(
