Need a job, 25000 positions available

I heard on the news tonight that bc needs about 25,000 trades workers to help with the expanding construction projects and the olympics.

If you know anyone who is crying about not being able to find a job i suggest bitch smacking them in the face.

Yeah, you should see what I have to get for life insurance! haha

Its not actually my job... yet.. it was going to be before I left the dive industry. But Im looking into what I can get into again for next year.
And a friend who owns a large company for this has agreed to bring me back in. I dont have to apprentace since Ive got my stuff already, so Ill start out back in as 3rd Tender/Diver... haha W00t w00t!

All IF I go back into diving!

The ones who get hurt are usually OpenWater Divers who go Commercial with next to no underwater expierence. Ive been diving for years and I hold a MasterTrainer cert.
I feel confident in my expierence underwater. Though Im still carefull.

If I take this job I can be making up to $150/hr by next year.

Just curious but is that considered danger pay or is it just additional for having gotten your diving certification?

Not sure I get what you mean?

To work as an Instructor, obviously you need to hold an Instructor cert.
To work as anything else, you need a commercial ticket.
You do get hazard pay as a diver but that varies from company to company and job to job.

You cant just work underwater if your a diver. You need the training.

how do you end up doing a job like this anyways?
do you start off as a diver and get approched by a company to weld or do you start off as a welder and decide that it'd be fun to do it underwater?

Im sure there are lots of ways. Though ive never heard of welders being asked to go underwater. ALOT different.
You need to want to work as a diver, get the training, put in the time and hope your good enough to get a job as one.
So, I guess you would start off as a diver and get approached by a company.

you stated previous that you liked the pay that you recieved at the time of diving so I was just curious as to if the additional pay was considered hazard pay or if it was for having the diving certification.... but you answered that anways
