R/C cars/trucks/airplane/etc

anyone into RC (Radio Control) cars/trucks/airplane/etc?

i want to get a electric rc car as i am only a beginner
1) is there anything i should look out for when buying them?
2) do i have to buy a remote control? extra battery? battery charger?

i read on the internet that the electric ones don't last long and the gas one cost a lot of money for fuel and requires much more maintenance

Yup I've been building and flying planes for a few years now. I have a little helicopter but its in pieces. I have a shitty nitro car that is in pieces too, I want to use the motor for something else. I just finished a hydroplane boat as well, I'm just getting my buddy to paint it who works at a body shop.

RC anything is fun but, planes and heli's are the best. Let me know if you have any questions.
